The Social Awareness Programme
The Social Awareness Programme will encourage self motivation, raise confidence and self esteem, challenge anti-social and offending behaviour, improve learning and performance.
Using active learning workshops and activities that include pairs and group work, photo story boards, digitally recorded role plays, group discussions, and problem solving, it will generate the evidence required to accredit Wider Key Skills Units, as part of the wider aim to raise achievement levels and improve employment options.
By including activities that encourage young people to accept the impact of anti-social and offending behaviour on communities, the programme will also assist the drive to reduce crime among young people, and the effort to create communities that are safe and free from the fear of crime.
